Duckworth Welcomes U.S. Representative-Elect Budzinski to Congress
[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) hosted U.S. Representative-elect Nikki Budzinski (D-IL-13) in her Senate office this week, where the two discussed how they can work together to support Illinoisans in the next Congress. Representative-elect Budzinski was elected last month to represent Illinois’s 13th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Photos of the meeting are available here.
“I’m excited to have Congresswoman-elect Budzinski as a colleague in Congress and look forward to teaming up with her to help make life easier, safer and more affordable for Illinoisans,” said Senator Duckworth. “With Budzinski’s experience as a public servant, I think our great state and nation will benefit from having her in the halls of Congress.”
“It was a pleasure to meet with Senator Duckworth yesterday and discuss opportunities to collaborate and bring home results for the hardworking men and women of Central and Southern Illinois,” said Representative-elect Budzinski (D-IL-13). “It is an honor to be a member of the Illinois Congressional Delegation and I look forward to working with everyone in the 118th Congress.”
Representative-elect Nikki Budzinski will represent sections of Champaign, Springfield and the Metro East, as well as all of Macoupin County and sections of Champaign, Macon, Madison, Piatt, Sangamon and St. Clair counties.
