Duckworth Visits Easter Seals DuPage & Fox Valley

VILLA PARK, IL - U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) met with leaders of both the national Easter Seals organization and the local DuPage and Fox Valley chapter today to discuss the importance of protecting disability rights and supporting children with disabilities and their families. A photo of today's meeting is available here.

"Every American should have the opportunity to lead a healthy, productive life - including those with a mental or physical disability," said Senator Duckworth. "Living with a disability comes with a unique set of challenges, which is something I know firsthand. I appreciate the chance to meet with Easter Seals leadership today to discuss how I can best support their efforts to support children with developmental disabilities through health and family support services. I will continue to advocate for disability rights in the Senate and work to ensure that every child has access to the care and support they deserve."

Easter Seals provides care to more than one million children and adults with disabilities and special needs across the globe. The DuPage and Fox Valley chapter has 3 locations in Villa Park, Naperville and Elgin, providing patients with a range of occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy and family support services.
